Author Guidelines

INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS

“Youth Scientific Bulletin of Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University” is included in the list of scientific professional editions of Ukraine (see Annex 9 to the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 241 of 09.03.2016) which may publish the results of dissertations for the degree of doctor or candidate of science in physical education and sports.

The journal is open for free use. Authors are responsible for the scientific content of their articles. The journal is displayed in the databases of V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine.

The articles on such topics are published in the journal:

  1. Historical, Philosophical, Legal and Organizational Problems of Physical Training.
  2. Technologies of Education in Physical Сulture.
  3. Physical Education of Different Groups.
  4. Therapeutic Physical Training, Sport Medicine and Physical Rehabilitation.
  5. Olympic and Professional Sport.

Article requirements

In the right corner of the page – the name of the author, in the left – the UDC (Universal decimal classification).

In the middle of the page – the title of an article, name of organization and city, at the end – the list of used literature (no more than ten sources, each item should be referenced in the text of the article, it is recommended to refer to the professional editions of Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University).

APA style references are also required. Annotations and keywords should be translated in Ukrainian, Russian and English. Annotations include name, author's name and the title of the article. The volume of each annotation – 1800 characters without spaces according to the requirements given below. Foreign authors submit abstracts in Russian and English. Tables and figures – no more than two. Article size – 8 to 12 pages (1,5 line spacing). Margins: left –3 cm, right – 1 cm, top and bottom – 2 cm.

 

 Articles that meet the following requirements are accepted for printing:

Formulation of a scientific problem and its significance, and relation to important scientific or practical tasks.

Analysis of the studies of the problem which initiated its resolution and on which the author relies on; highlighting of previously undisclosed parts of the general problem which are revealed in the article.

Formulation of research goals and objectives.

Presentation of the main material and substantiation of the research results.

Conclusions and prospects for further research.

 

Annotation requirements

While outlining the basic facts in the annotations, you should follow the article's timeline and use its subheadings:

  • author's full name, article title, organization;
  • topicality;
  • task of the study;
  • method and methodology of the study (are described if they differ in novelty or arouse interest in this work: in the experimental works it is indicated the data sources and the nature of their processing);
  • the results of the work (it is provided the basic theoretical and experimental results, identified relationships and patterns);
  • conclusions (may be accompanied by the recommendations, assessments, suggestions, hypotheses described in the article);
  • key words.

The abstract should function as an article-independent source of information and be able to set its main content.

The English abstract must be written in good quality English. The use of machine translation is not allowed

 

Publication materials in Ukrainian, Russian, English, Polish (optional) in electronic form, 14 pt font in WORD format, please, submit to the Editorial Board (aleshina1012@gmail.com). You also need to submit a photo (digital) of the author and provide information about the author for publication in the bulletin.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word.
