The effect of Physical Rehabilitation Means on the Condition of Patients with Coxarthrosis Combined with Obesity

Obesity is an important risk factor for coxarthrosis due to excessive mechanical loading of the joints and limitation of physical activity. A study was conducted on 38 patients with coxarthrosis in combination with obesity. The purpose of the study is to study the effect of the developed comprehensive program of physical rehabilitation in patients with coxarthrosis combined with obesity, taking into account the pathogenetic components of disease development. The developed rehabilitation program included: recommendations for changing lifestyle, diet (with reduced caloric content of food composition), special physical and respiratory exercises, therapeutic walking, massage, physiotherapy. As a result of the study, positive changes were found: reduced body weight, improved joint function, metabolic and oxidative homeostasis.
