Environmental Policy of Subjects of the Olympic Movement in Ukraine

The theoretical basis for environmental activities is formed by specialists of such scientific institutions as the International and National Olympic Academies, the Olympic study centers, the International Academy of Sport Science and Technology, sports universities and institutes, etc. However, the study does not implement a systematic approach to the analysis of environmental activities in the Olympic sport at the national level. A detailed scientific analysis requires the study of the content of the NOCs and the Olympic academies on environmental protection, as a phenomenon conditioned not only by the internal needs of the Olympic movement but, above all, by the requirements of modern society. The objective of the study is to summarize the data on peculiarities of implementation of the environmental policy of the Olympic organizations in Ukraine (the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine and the Olympic Academy of Ukraine). Methods of research: analysis of literary sources and documents, content analysis, system analysis. The article presents the main directions of environmental policy of subjects of the Olympic organizations in Ukraine, analyzed the forms of cooperation with governmental and public organizations regarding implementation of the environmental projects in the Olympic sport in Ukraine. The educational value on formation of an ecologically oriented youth outlook within the framework of implementation of environmental actions and projects under the patronage of the NOC of Ukraine is determined.
