The article presents data on the main directions of development of modern physical rehabilitation programs after surgical treatment of patients with Achilles tendon rupture, namely: the motor mode, the use of orthopedic means and methods for restoring the impaired function of the lower limb. The aim of the work is to analyze the current scientific and methodological literature on the physical rehabilitation of patients with Achilles tendon rupture. Material: analysis and synthesis of foreign and domestic special scientific and methodological literature on the physical rehabilitation of patients with Achilles tendon rupture was carried out, which allowed, taking into account the use of modern treatment methods, based on the theory and methodology of physical education and physical rehabilitation, to identify the main trends in recovery approaches motor function. Results: it was determined that the process of physical rehabilitation of patients with Achilles tendon rupture after surgical treatment does not have a clear conceptual basis, namely: there are no clear periods for the periods and phases of recovery, there is no strict gradation of exercise regimens, there is no scheme for applying the load in different periods of recovery process, timing of the landmark control. The most rational approach seems to be a functional approach to the recovery of patients, which provides for the possibility of an early axial load on the injured limb after the surgical treatment of tendon ruptures. The application of this approach is possible starting from the immobilization period, but necessarily with the use of a removable splint with a heel. This technique reduces further the negative impact of immobilization and allows you to improve subjective well-being, accelerate the recovery of motor function, reduce the time to return to the previous sports level, as well as the frequency of complications and repeated breaks. Conclusions: the study allows to supplement data on the importance of physical rehabilitation in achieving the goals of restoring the functional state of the lower extremities, improving the functional capabilities and quality of life of patients after surgical treatment of Achilles tendon ruptures and confirm the scientific and methodological data on the need for functional rehabilitation protocols. provide for the possibility of gravitational load on the first day, the early gradual expansion widening the amplitude of movements and the use of special shoes.
