Recreational Swimming as a Method of Correction of Psycho Emotional State of Persons with Posture Problems

Abstract

Nowadays there is a steady increase in number of students with locomotorium defects, particularly, with posture problems and with scolioses. These problems, especially severe scoliosis, cause major changes in students’ psycho emotional state. These changes are reflected into disbelief in themselves, increased irritability, bad mood, even psycho emotional tension. 

The article describes the peculiarities of method of conducting the recreational swimming lessons with students with locomotorium defects. It was proved that recreational swimming lessons improve students’ psycho emotional state, decrease their level of anxiety, also improve the function of respiratory apparatus and decrease the degree of the curvature of the spine.
