Abstract

Functional securing of special performance of rowers in the second half of the competitive distance is different from the primary and secondary legs of the distance. The difference consists in necessity of achievement and maintaining the balance of aerobic and anaerobic energy supply, and strengthening the reaction of pulmonary ventilation in terms of increasing metabolic changes in a body. This makes special requirements for functional evaluation system providing special performance, as well as training of the special effects.

It is presented quantitative and qualitative characteristics of functional securing of special performance of rowers at distances: VE·VO2-1 – 29,1±5,5 (V=18,9 %); VE·VCO2-1 – 34,2±7,1 (V=20,8 %); % excess VE – 19,1±4,0 (V=20,9 %); MAOD – 63,4±9,7 (V=15,3 %). Indicators of lightweight rowers were not significantly different. High levels of individual differences in performance indicates to a difference of approaches to application of training effects, including the training of special tools designed to enhance special performance of rowers in terms of increasing fatigue.
